Depression And Anxiety Are Both
Caused By The Shutting Down Of Vital Centers In The Brain!
The reason these centers shut down or become
inactive can vary but in all cases of excessive anxiety and
depression these vital centers have indeed become less active than in normal people.
These same centers that have shut down in the depressed or anxious
person have been found to be extremely active in Tibetan monks who
have been studied with EEG and Magnetic resonance equipment. Along
with these vital centers of positive emotions there is a certain
type of brainwave that is found to be extremely high in the Tibetan
Monk while being extremely low in the depressed and anxious
individual.
Now before I go on I want you to understand that there is now a very
powerful way to reactivate the vital brain centers that have become
inactive or less active than normal and which also induces very high
levels of the brainwave frequency found in Tibetan monks. The way we
can do this is through the use of some very powerful audio
technology. Recently some hospitals have used electromagnets to try
to stimulate the parts of the brain related to depression with some
great success but unfortunately it wares off quickly and it is very
expensive. The patient needs to go to the hospital and sit under the
magnet for long periods which is inconvenient.
With our audio technology all that is needed is 10 minutes, an
MP3 player or CD player and some stereo headphones. Used daily the
results are truly astounding, far more powerful than the
electromagnets.
Now you should be getting excited about this because your anxiety
and depression is about to be cured but you probably are not excited
at all. Firstly because you may think this is just hype and you have
tried so many other methods with no success but another reason is
that if you have been depressed or anxious for some time you
probably can’t get excited because the brain centers that
would let you feel excited are not working properly.
How Does Someone Become Depressed Or Anxious?
Were they predisposed to it at birth? Is it genetic? Was it
inevitable? Or is it a matter of the individual’s interaction with
their environment?
Well I would like to make the bold statement that
it is the
interaction with the environment!
The fact that people do get over depression and anxiety and that
most sufferers were at some point joyful, is solid proof that the
causes are not genetic. The truth is that anyone can become
depressed and anyone can become happy. The difference can be clearly
seen in the activity of the brain.
When someone is happy a certain part of their brain (the left
prefrontal cortex) is active and they have normal levels of Gamma
brainwaves.
When someone is depressed the left prefrontal cortex is
less active and they have low levels of Gamma brainwaves.
When
someone is intensely happy or excited the left prefrontal cortex is
very active and they have very high levels of Gamma brainwaves
(Tibetan Monks).
The consequences of these differences are
massive. The Gamma brainwave is a high frequency wave which actually
covers all areas of the brain. It is like a unifying wave that keeps the brain
working in synchronicity with itself. It holds a person’s different
parts together under a strong sense of selfhood. An example will
help here:
Someone may be interested in tennis but also be interested in
science. These are two distinct parts of the personality and neither
one of them is the person. They are merely parts. If the person was
to become obsessed with tennis and stop all other activities and
thoughts some parts of the brain will start to become dormant. The
part of the brain associated with tennis would become larger and
more active while the part associated with science may become less
active and start to shrink. If the person was to become extremely
obsessed then the Gamma brainwave would become much weaker than
normal as unification is limited by the obsession. Now the person’s
sense of self may begin to revolve around tennis only so the sense
of self that was held before will become weaker as the tennis self
takes over. If the Gamma brainwave was still strong the person would
still have other interests besides tennis because all parts of the
brain would still be active and synchronized.
This is a simple example but it illustrates how
the brain works with
different compartments and how they are kept together as a unified
whole. As people get older their brains become more and more
compartmentalized and the Gamma wave does become weaker. People
often lose whole parts of themselves as they age as certain brain
centers shut down and others become excessively active. The joyful child
often becomes a thing of the past.
Children
If we look at small children we can see that they become excited in
an amplified way compared to adults. We can see that their positive
emotions can become very high very fast and this is in large part
due to the fact that their brain is extremely active. Their left
prefrontal cortex is active and it can fire into excitation at the
smallest of stimuli. Another thing we can see in small children is
that they can be affected by negative emotions just as fast and
furiously but that these usually end very quickly. There is
no holding onto negative emotions so the brain can continue to
function as a whole and regains balance naturally. The natural state
for a child is happy and relaxed.
Another thing we can notice in children is that
they have a strong sense of self despite the fact that they do not
yet identify themselves. They have not become compartmentalized yet
and have not identified themselves as a Doctor, bricklayer, strong
man, beautiful woman or whatever else. The strong sense of self that
a child expresses is a result of the unifying Gamma wave. It is
because they are a whole instead of being a bunch of disjointed
parts that they have a strong sense of self. This sense of self can
actually be lost when the Gamma wave becomes weaker because certain
parts of the brain can start to dominate. When this occurs a certain
part of the personality can take over while other parts become
dormant. This leads to self esteem that is either low or
requires constant work to keep it high. Something must be done to
feel good about oneself unlike the child who just feels good.
As the child grows up its environment and personality interact which
leads to various parts of the brain becoming more active while
others become less active.
If negative emotions become very active for
prolonged lengths of time it is quite possible for the positive
emotional centers in the brain to shut down.
If this occurs
it can be almost impossible to reactivate them. Those who have
suffered from depression and/or anxiety for long periods will know
this to be true. All forms of treatment will fail unless the
positive emotional centers are reactivated.
Once the positive centers shut down along with the Gamma wave
becoming weak the person is left in a hard position. They lose the
integration that they once had and may not know who they are. They
forget how they used to feel and their memories of any time when
they felt good and confident are vague at best.
While depressed you cannot really remember how it
felt to be happy.
You can only truly remember a state of mind by
accessing that state of mind. Otherwise the memory will be vague.
Once the left prefrontal cortex becomes inactive it is impossible to
remember a time when it was active with any clarity because to
remember that time requires its activation. It is a cruel catch 22
and it is the reason for people getting stuck in bad emotions.
Whatever the life circumstances that led to excessive bad emotions
and which eventually lead to a shutdown of the left prefrontal
cortex and the weakening of the Gamma wave the fact is that these
physical effects must be reversed for a healing to take place.
There are numerous therapies for depression and anxiety and many of
them are amazingly ineffective. If you are depressed or anxious then
you probably know this already.
Activating the Gamma wave and the
left prefrontal cortex can have astounding effects within days.
It
is extremely powerful, it works like nothing else and it is
available right now.
When depressed and anxious the sense of self starts to revolve
around the negative emotions just like the obsessed tennis player.
The person changes and loses the sense of self that they once had.
They become compartmentalized and a sense of wholeness is lost.
Basically it comes down to this:
Whatever receives attention gets
stronger!
You may have heard this before and know it’s true but does
knowing this make any difference.
Can a depressed person just start to focus on positive thoughts?
Maybe sometimes but it is very difficult while the part of the brain
that can focus on positivity is dormant. If this part of the
brain was activated it would take no effort to focus on positive
feelings and thoughts because they would already be there. It would
be effortless and depression would naturally end.
What About Drugs?
Drugs have profound effects on the activity of the brain. Both illicit and prescription drugs can
have devastating effects and I would like to introduce you to a
clear understanding of the possibilities. Many of you have probably
taken drugs at some point so you may find this interesting.
Now if we take someone who has never taken a psychoactive drug and
give them say marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine or whatever it may
be, their brain activity is affected in a very powerful way. Parts
of the brain become more active while others become less active so
the sense of continuity of personality can be affected. This is not
necessarily a bad thing because most people’s brains have already
shut down and become compartmentalized to a large degree. Taking a
drug can open someone’s mind simply because it gives them a
different view, a different feeling of themselves and a different
perception of reality. What is right and wrong, what is good and
bad, what is important and unimportant? All of these ideas can be
changed by taking drugs as they can give an individual a completely
different experience. Also they can show the person parts of
themselves that have been dormant for some time such as the joy they
experienced as a child. Or maybe a drug will give the user a bad
experience by activating parts of the brain that hold fears and
insecurities.
Whatever happens during the activation will be
followed by a come down as the brain goes into the opposite of what
happened while on the drug. If the drug caused extreme joy then when
it wears off it is likely that sadness will be felt. When enough
drugs are taken the come down can actually shut down parts of the
brain for a long
time. These parts of the brain may be reactivated by further drug
use but on each come down they shut off again. Once the brain needs
a drug to activate parts that would normally be active we have a
serious problem.
The initial drug use may open a persons mind and show them that they
are more than they thought but after the drug wears off they may
actually be even further from wholeness than they were before the
drug experience. Another catch 22…
Anti depressants, anti psychotics and anti anxiety drugs all have
profound effects on the brain of a user. They can lessen bad
emotions and make life seem easier but at the same time they lessen
positive emotions. They can be seen as a kind of anesthetic for the
brain. Nearly all of these drugs reduce sexual pleasure and desire
and create a feeling of numbness. This may seem good for someone who
has been experiencing negative emotions but do they really help. Do
they really lead a person to a brain state that is healthy and happy
or do they just numb a person?
Drugs will not help you get back to a natural state! People start
taking illicit drugs and then end up being treated for the problems
this created by taking prescription drugs. It is a circle that needs
to be broken.
Ok, you have read this far so you obviously find this interesting.
It is time to try it for yourself and see what I am talking about. I
could go on and on but the truth is in the pudding!
